Our Achievements
Health
BHF has actively disseminated knowledge on health (especially on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) pertaining to girls and women and Non-communicable Diseases) through health campaigns in communities, radio and television programs.
TOGETHER AGAINST NCDS
This project aims to educate older adults and the elderly in the communities about non-communicable diseases. The project seeks to empower those at risk of suffering from these diseases with the right knowledge and assist them in making lifestyle changes that improve their overall health.
Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) for All
This project seeks to reach youths, girls and women with the right and accurate information about sexual and reproductive health. It aims to empower the youth, especially girls and women, to make the right and informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.
Education
Back to School Support for orphans and needy
Despite ongoing crises in Cameroon’s Southwest Region, BHF has made remarkable strides in keeping education alive for vulnerable children:
- Enrolled over 1,000 underserved children in formal education, with 30% earning GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level certificates.
- Provided personalized learning support to 100+ children through a mentoring and educational system, nurturing them into future professionals.
- Established a Community Library that bridges learning gaps, providing children with access to quality resources that make learning fun, creative, and impactful.
- Implemented a Back-to-School program, benefitting orphanages (Grace of God, St. Glory, and St. Joseph) and internally displaced children, offering them hope and opportunity for a brighter future.
